To celebrate the official media launch of Toyota’s 14 billion dollar battery manufacturing facility in North Carolina, RedGate Films created a hype film for the event as well as a long format production film of the entire battery manufacturing process. Capturing this process required designing an adjustable sliding camera rig with absolutely no exposed metal. This was a unique challenge that required several days of design and engineering, which ultimately resulted in a streamlined mobile camera slider that could be safely used in the strictest of volatile lab environments. In addition to filming inside the lab, RedGate captured the assembly process through all phases as well as exterior coverage of the expansive multi structure campus and the nearby town of Liberty that this facility calls home.
