For Toyota's global announcement of their newest GR line of vehicles, RedGate Films was approached to create a unique hype film that featured the GR86, GR Corolla and the all new "manual" GR Supra. We proposed the use of colored smoke grenades to introduce each car. The smoke FX were later accentuated in post with 3D volumetric elements that were comped into the live action plates. A combination of car-to-car photography and drone capture was used to highlight all three marquee vehicles.
